HOW TO: Download the full IE6 SP1

First of all you will need to visit the Microsoft website and get the IE6 SP1 installer using this link: ie6setup.exe (479kb) Create the following: C:\My Downloads Now save this file to this location on your computer. Go to the Start Menu and select Run A small window will appear. type in the following including the quotation marks:


"C:\My Downloads\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E" A welcome screen will appear, asking you to accept the license agreement. You have to accept the agreement before you can proceed. When you click on the next button a window will appear. Now you can select where you want the files to be saved. Then select the operating system you require. (You can select ALL if you wish... this would be 49MB) Then click the next button and a window like the one below will appear showing you the download progress for ie6 sp1 files:
