The need to make it easier for users to find out their IP addresses has always been there but the solutions have not always been available, or if they were, they have not been very efficient.
Ken Getz uses Visual Basic.NET and the .NET framework 2.0 to demonstrate a quite user friendly way of communicating IP address information between two parties. Instead of trying to give instructions over the phone on how to browse to www.whatismyip.com, a user can send their IP information to a support personnel with basically a few clicks.
