Microsoft Web design tool moves to beta

Microsoft on Tuesday released a beta test version of Expression Web, a new design tool expected to debut next year.

The tool, originally called Expression Web Designer, will compete with tools such as Adobe's Dreamweaver, and allows developers to build Web sites linked to Microsoft's ASP.NET server technology.
